Development Approach
One of the key goals of the build was flexibility. The client wanted the ability to evolve the visual direction of the site seasonally without relying heavily on development support.
To support this, I built a range of configurable content sections with editable controls for:
colour themes
typography variations
spacing and layout adjustments
content alignment
carousel settings
This allowed the internal team to create highly visual landing pages and campaign-driven experiences while maintaining consistency across the storefront.
The build was implemented using Shopify 2.0 architecture, enabling a more modular content workflow and improving maintainability for future growth.
Features & Integrations
Harper Integration
Integrated Harper’s “Try Before You Buy” functionality to support a more flexible purchase experience and reduce friction during checkout.
Four Sixty Integration
Implemented a shoppable Instagram and UGC feed using Four Sixty to help bridge social content with product discovery and increase engagement.
Collection Filtering
Worked with metafield-driven collection filtering to support more refined product discovery and merchandising flexibility across category pages.

Outcome
The rebuilt storefront delivered a more elevated and brand-aligned shopping experience while giving the KITRI team significantly greater control over content management and campaign presentation. According to the agency case study, the relaunch contributed to increases in sales, sessions, and average order value within the first three months post-launch.

Reflection
This project strengthened my experience building visually-led Shopify storefronts where design fidelity, flexibility, and scalability all needed to coexist. It also reinforced the importance of building systems that empower internal teams - not just developers - to manage and evolve the storefront over time.
